General Communication to Council

Below is Council's policy governing communication to council as part of the regular meeting agenda. Council shall provide a reasonable opportunity at each advertised regular meeting and advertised work session or other special meetings for written communication from residents or taxpayers of the City of Meadville to be introduced into the public record on matters of concern, official action, or deliberation which are before Council. Individuals may drop off written communication to the City Building, 894 Diamond Park, Meadville, PA between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday or email their communication to council@cityofmeadville.org

This policy governs just one of several ways the general public may communicate with Council. Public comment may also be provided at meetings, in accordance with the public comment policy found above. The public may also contact councilmember's directly via their emails, which can be found here

By providing public comment and/or communication to Council, your name, address, and comments become part of the public record of the meeting. Additionally any comments provided, as well as the name and address of the provider, may be subject to the Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Act, discovery litigation, and other public records & disclosure laws.
